Curriculum Planning

Things to take note when planning the curriculum:

1. Provide opportunities where children can make use of their senses and express themselves.

2. Provide hands-on activities and allow them to make choices.

3. Make use of the environment as the third teacher.

4. Stimulate the children's curiosity.

5. Include child centred and self-initiated activities.

6. Promotes different types of play.

7. Provide a wide variety of materials for exploration.

8. Set up learning centres that are interesting, challenging and engaging.

9. Get the children to think, reason and become decision makers.

10. The curriculum should meet the developmental needs of the children at a particular age or stage of development.
